Creamy Garlic Steak Tortellini

Some dinners just hit a little different — and this creamy garlic steak tortellini is one of them. It’s rich, cozy, and feels like something you’d order at a restaurant… but you can make it at home in under 30 minutes.

This dish starts with tender, seared steak bites that get coated in a silky garlic cream sauce. Add in cheese tortellini, a little parmesan, and some fresh parsley, and suddenly you have the perfect weeknight dinner that tastes like you put in way more effort than you actually did.

INGREDIENTS:

1-1.5 lbs Sirloin steak (ribeye or new strip would be great too)

1 lb tortellini (can be frozen)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 milk

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 shallot (minced)

2 tbsp butter

1/2 shredded Parmesan

fresh parsley for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

1. Start by patting the steak dry and generously seasoning both sides with salt. Set the steak aside to reach room temperature while you prepare the sauce and tortellini.

2. In a skillet set to medium heat, add butter. Then add shallots and cook for 3 minutes. Afterward, add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.

3. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to simmer until it thickens slightly.

4. Turn off the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set the sauce aside.

5. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Drain the tortellini and add it to the sauce.

6. In a cast iron skillet set to medium-high heat, add the sirloin steak and cook for 4 minutes on each side for a medium doneness. Once cooked, set the steak aside to rest before slicing.

7. When ready to serve, mix the pasta with the sauce and add the sliced steak. Garnish with fresh parsley.
