QUICK Cheesy Beef Shells

Cheesy beef shells are a comforting and hearty dish perfect for a family dinner. This dish consists of small/medium pasta shells that are mixed with a savory sauce that consists of ground beef, garlic, onions, heavy cream, and two types of cheese. This beef mixture is seasoned with herbs and spices to enhance the flavor. Topping with parsely and more cheese of course.
Not to mention this dish is almost one pot and comes together super fast for an easy weeknight meal that the WHOLE family is going to adore!
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 lb small shell pasta
1/2 yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet powdered beef bouillon
1 tbsp italian seasoning
pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup heavy cream
1 14 ounce can tomato sauce
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1 cup shredded parmesan
Directions:
In large skillet or pot heat cooking oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned; mix well breaking into small pieces. With a paper towel, mop up some of the oil in the pot/skillet produced by beef.
Once browned, add onions, garlic, italian seasoning, and beef bouillon, pinch red pepper flakes (optional); Cook for additional 4 minutes.
In a large pot of boiling water cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
To beef mixture add tomato sauce, heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Add cheddar and parmesan cheese; mix until smooth. Test for salt and add pepper.
Add pasta shells into sauce and serve! Garnish with more cheese and parsley if desired.
