Quick Hibachi Skillet

Who doesn't enjoy a little Hibachi every now and then? You're going to enjoy this cheater Hibachi!

Don't get me wrong I love a good homemade sauce, but when I tried the Kikkomon Teriyaki sauce and checked the ingredients, it literally has everything in it to make Hibachi marinade!

This recipe is simple and straight to the point and can be ready serve in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs top sirloin steak, cut into cubes

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (optional)

  • 1/2 cup Kikkomon Teriyaki sauce (or something similar)

  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (white, portobello, your choice)

  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped

  • 3 gloves garlic, minced

  • 1 head of broccoli, chopped

  • 1 zucchini, sliced in half lengthwise & cut into half moon shape

  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Start by adding your cubed sirlion to bowl and mix in teryiaki sauce. Set aside.

  2. Heat skillet or pan on medium high heat and add cooking oil or seasame oil. When pan gets hot sear sirloin for 2 minutes then flip and cook an additional 1-2 minutes. Cook in batches so you don't over crown the pan, removing cooked meat to a plate.

  3. In the same skillet add 2 tbsps of butter. Then add onions, followed by carrots. Cook for 3 minutes or so.

  4. Then add mushrooms, broccoli and garlic. Mix all the vegetables well then cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Move vegetables over to one side of pan and add sirloin back into the skillet, cover and cook until steak is warmed back up. I served mine over fried rice or regular white rice would be good as well!
